The Set Up

As our dads would always say, "What, were you raised in a barn?" Although a bit insulting, it was actually words of wisdom. So, don't be a sheep. Take the regular, simple steps to turn off faucets, lights, and close external doors when not in use and help conserve resources.

Pledge Summary

  • WHAT —  When simple energy and resources can be conserved, choose that option
  • WHEN   Consistently — At home, at work, and anywhere else it's applicable
  • WHY — Make an impact on the world and on your wallet

Three Reasons to Sign Up

Save on resources, save on bills, and save the planet.

1

Save money.
Turning lights off when you're not using them can help save money by reducing your electricity bills, extending the life of your light bulbs, and buying bulbs less often.

2

Protect the planet.
Turning off water and lights can reduce the amount of carbon emissions and other harmful greenhouse gases created by the production of and dispersion of those natural resources.

3

Conserve energy.
When a door is left open during the summer, your AC unit has to constantly work harder to combat the additional warm air, resulting in much higher energy consumption.

Final Thoughts

When you're brushing your teeth, turn off the water. When you're leaving a room for 30 minutes, turn off the lights. When you're prepping dinner, grab everything from the fridge at once so you can keep the door closed — the list goes on. It won't be applicable to everything, but we guarantee it'll be applicable every day.
